ABOUT US:

 The Weingarten Law Firm, a prominent, rapidly growing Middlesex County firm, primarily represents one of the largest New Jersey real estate developers in all aspects of its operations.

Candidates will have the benefits of working for a law firm, but with the resources and support of an in-house position. 

We're currently seeking a full time Real Estate Paralegal or Legal Assistant & Loan Closing Coordinator

Due to the collaborative nature of our business, we require employees to be on-site full time at our office in Piscataway, New Jersey.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a strong commercial real estate paralegal or experienced legal assistant & loan closer to work in-house with a large real estate developer. We handle highly complex and monetarily significant closings.

Salary will commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling loan closing checklists;
• Preparing resolutions for borrowers and guarantors, affidavits of title, opinion letters, escrow letters, and organizational charts;
• Communicating with lenders’ counsel and title companies;
• Organizing executed loan documents;
• Preparing deeds and transfer forms;
• Preparing contract amendments, master deeds, bylaws, joint venture agreements, etc. (these tasks would entail gathering information and preparing forms, but not reviewing documents substantively, which our attorneys handle); and
• Forming new entities, obtaining EINs, and preparing operating agreements.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal or experienced legal assistant, preferably representing borrowers’ side. 
• Strong understanding of real estate practice, loan documentation, and closing procedures. 
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and manage fast-paced, high volume workload.
• This position requires careful attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to problem solve independently and support senior attorneys.
