Construction Landscape and Irrigation Supervisor

We're currently seeking a Construction Landscape and Irrigation Supervisor for our Excavation Department. 

Job Summary

The Construction Landscape and Irrigation Supervisor oversees all landscape and irrigation activities during construction projects.

They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation and maintenance of landscape features and irrigation systems to ensure compliance with design specifications,

environmental standards, and project timelines.

The role requires expertise in landscape construction, irrigation systems, and team leadership.

Candidate will work full-time in our office located in South Plainfield, NJ and travel to sites as required.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of landscape and irrigation teams on-site.
• Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper landscape design and irrigation installation.
• Oversee the installation of landscaping elements including plants, turf, hardscaping, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure irrigation systems are installed correctly, fully functional, and meet water efficiency standards.
• Manage project timelines to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Perform site inspections to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
• Provide training and guidance to landscaping crew members on installation methods and safety procedures.
• Order and manage materials required for landscaping and irrigation projects.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems and address any issues or repairs promptly.
• Monitor project budgets and assist with cost control measures.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers to provide progress updates.

• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field preferred).
• Proven experience in landscape and irrigation construction, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape construction, plant types, and horticultural practices.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for working on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and landscape designs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team to meet project deadlines.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license
