    We're currently seeking an Interior Designer

     

     

    Responsible for assisting in all interior design related issues for various multifamily, retail, and mixed use project types.  The candidate will be work closely with a certified interior designer and licensed architects. 

    Responsibilities

    • Commercial and Residential Design.
    • Assist Lead Designer with projects and various tasks.
    • Develop design concepts. 
    • Prepare presentation boards.
    • Product sourcing and order placements. 
    • Responsible for creating, processing and following up on purchase orders.
    • Prepare, manage and maintain all project binders, files, correspondence, drawings, etc.
    • Prepare documents: Construction Documents, Preliminary space plans, Concept studies, Millwork details and Specifications.
    • Create 3D and 2D renderings for Lead Designer.
    • Review pricing, materials and customization for projects with Lead Designer.
    • Assist other EP Design team members with selecting FF&E, color and materials.
    • Provide design support for completion/execution of design concepts.
    • Participate in field surveying and site visits.
    • Assist designer with selecting finishes, furniture, and fixtures for various project types
    • Check stock, pricing, and availability for all FF&E materials
    • Create purchase orders for review
    • Assist with red lined design drawings using AutoCAD
    • Vendor management, follow up, and coordination
    • Create spreadsheets for job organization
    • Research for all projects
    • Resource updating

                                                

    Qualifications

    • AutoCad experience required, 2019 preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
    • Knowledge of construction/contract documents required
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Suites (Illustrator,Photoshop and Indesign)
    • Sketchup or other rendering experience
    • Knowledge of FF&E Companies
    • Be versatile and able to design within the required style
    • Enjoy a design-build work environment
    • Attentive to details, well organized and punctual
    • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment
    • Strong sense of urgency, organization and follow- through
    • Proficient drafting skills
    • Have a willingness to learn and a passion for design

           Education Desired

    • BS or BA in Interior Design
    • 4-6 years post graduate experience
