    We're currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager 

     

     

    Candidates will exhibit leadership qualities with the ability to direct, motivate and supervise personnel to achieve maximum productivity.

    Self-starters with attention to detail and strong follow through; ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with innovative problem-solving and decision-making abilities with emphasis on quality control and subcontractor management.

    Responsibilities

     

    Assistant Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

    • Budgeting a Project (New/Renovation/Fit-up)
    • Review Design Development and provide Value Engineering ideas
    • Bidding
    • Writing scope of work for each trade
    • Vendor qualification analysis
    • Prepare Bidding list
    • Bid Analysis prepared for award
    • Project Start-up and organizing weekly sub meeting
    • Organizing/Presenting weekly Tool Box Safety talks, two week look ahead schedule for subs and trade partner
    • Scheduling 
    • Writing scheduling
    • Updating schedule as needed
    • Tracking changes to schedule and documenting delay
    • Monthly schedule update to senior management
    • 30 day look ahead
    • Duration Consent forms
    • Procurement and tracking long lead items
    • Document control
    • Permit
    • Submittals and shop drawing review and tracking
    • Request for Information
    • Drawing Log
    • Meeting Minutes
    • Correspondence
    • Expense reports
    • Contract review
    • Overseeing Field Staff
    • Punchlist
    • Project Closeout
    • Time Sheets
    • Field staff

    Qualifications

     

    Education Desired:

    • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, but not required

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years prior construction project management experience
    • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, but not required
    • Experience in ALL phases; Pre-Construction, Construction and Post-Construction
    • Experience managing multiple projects/fast track projects simultaneously
    • Experience managing ground-up, multi-family, mixed-use and tenant fit-outs
    • Experience managing specialty retail projects
    • Experience developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules and tracking
    • Excellent capability with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
    • Ability to communicate effectively, advanced organizational skills and attention to detail

    Physical Attributes:

    • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl
    • Lift 10 pounds
    • Extensive computer use and reading fromdocuments and computer
    • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
    • Willingness and ability to travel, work extended hours as needed
